Well you know how we feel about this one. Gas grills have their uses, but really, where is the fun in barbecuing on a gas grill? This short video gives a very brief overview of the differences between the BGE and a Gas Grill, but what we really like is his backyard set up. And the real star of the video is the swimming dog at the end of the clip!
Love the dog! My german shepherd loves swimming too.
ReplyDeleteYea, there's nothing like the BGE. If you want convenience like a Gas Grill, get a Digi Q BBQ Guru. They're awesome if you're smoking all day and don't want to have to check every so often. I've found my Egg can hold a nice temperature without the DigiQ but some people would prefer one. There are a ton of cool accessories. Thinking about reading this eBook. Have you read it? Any good?
We've thought the Digi Q BBQ Guru would be a handy thing to have - glad to hear they work well. Haven't checked out the eBook, but I am betting it ends up on my wife's kindle before long!
DeleteMy vote would have to be for the BGE (but you knew that ;) ). Heard great things about the Digi Q, but I'm running the Auber Instruments. Might not have all the bells and whistles, but its cheap and does everything I want it to do. I'd skip the eBook and just check out www.eggheadforum.com or www.greeneggers.com. You'll get all the info you need there (and more)
ReplyDeleteI really want to get a digiQ, but the price is a little off putting at the moment. It is definitely going to be my next accessory purchase (after I build myself a table for the BGE).
ReplyDeleteOh, of course my vote is for the Egg...Who cooks on gas grills? :)
